BRED TO BE YOUR BEST FRIEND ...........
My husband, Bernie and I live on 5 acres in South East Queensland, quite near Noosa and the Sunshine Coast and 2 hours north of Brisbane.
We share our lives with our dogs, a cat, a few cows and lots of hens and ducks.
Since moving to our little farm 11 years ago a lot has happened in our lives. I got our first RR, MAC from Chilolo Kennels and also a beautiful Pharoah Hound, MIRRIAH. I then started showing them. Unfortunately Mirriah did not suit living on our farm and continually escaped and I was terrified she would be shot as being mistaken for a Dingo so I sent her to a very large farm in NZ where she settled down to a wonderful life.
Next Bernie became very ill and was in urgent need of a liver transplant, so I had to stop showing and put everything on hold. He was one of the very fortunate and received his new liver in the nick of time in 2006! He has made a remarkable recovery and is a great advertisement for organ donation.
I had always wanted a Deerhound (I was born in Scotland) and in 2008 we got our first Deerhound...Well life changed forever!
